Portrait maker Take me to the ocean

Hi! My name is Wietske and I am a mixed media artist from the Netherlands. I love the ocean and try to go there as often as possible. But I don’t live that near. So I decided to turn the ocean into art so I can have it close to me even though I am
at home. I’m sure all you ocean lovers out there feel the same way. That’s why I started Take me to the ocean, and not only bring the ocean into my own home. But into the homes of ocean lovers all over the world.

I love to be in the water and go paddle boarding or catch some waves on my longboard. That is where I get inspiration for my art.

The seascapes are made with resin, sand and reclaimed wood. I try to recycle as much form the materials I use as possible, to create less waste. Because I think it is important to be mindful of nature and our planet. Besides reclaimed wood, I also transform the leftover resin into cute keychains.
